Activity in Class
These Short Course students receive learning in class, especially those related to language theories (Indonesian) and culture. Short Course student instructors are also lecturers from various study programs. They are supported by lecturers who are very professional yet friendly towards their students, so they feel comfortable and gain knowledge.
Visiting Local Culture/Area
During the Short Course at the Al-Qur'an Science University, learning outside the classroom (in the field) is always carried out to practice their knowledge/theory that has been learned in class. Outside the classroom/outdoor area is a laboratory for them to be able to dig deeper into the local language or culture of the local community. Here are some of the places they use for in-depth exploration of local culture:

- Yogyakarta Palace
- Visiting local residents' house for cooking traditional food
- Traditional Dance
Short Course students are very enthusiastic in observing the culture of buying and selling in the Kalibeber traditional market. They made observations of the surrounding community in obtaining food ingredients in the market. These international students also indirectly observed the Local Language/Javanese of the local community.

International Short Course students learn about farming culture in Blederan Village, Wonosobo Regency. Wonosobo is a district with fertile soil and cool temperatures because it is mountainous. Vegetables are suitable plants and always thrive when planted in that area. The Wonosobo native whose livelihood is vegetable farming is highly adept at providing quality education in agriculture. The local residents were able to develop several methods of growing vegetables known as organic farming. This makes the International Short Course students very enthusiastic about learning the farming culture of the local community.
Seperti yang kita tahu bahwa UNSIQ merupakan Universitas berbasis pesantren, sehingga ada banyak sekali (40 pesantren) yang berada di area sekitar kampus ini. Mahasiswa Short Course juga sangat berkesan terhadap etika kepesantrenan, mereka belajar budaya yang ada di lingkungan pesantren dan juga akrab berbaur dengan mahasiswa UNSIQ yang sekaligus nyantri di pondok pesanten.

As we know that UNSIQ is a pesantren-based university, so there are many (40 pesantren) in the area around this campus. Short Course students are also very impressed with Islamic boarding school ethics, they learn the culture that exists in the pesantren environment and also get along well with UNSIQ students who are also studying at Islamic boarding schools.
Giyanti Village is also a Tolerance Village, why is it called that, because the Village has residents with various religions, Islam, Christianity, Pangestu and others. There international students learn about how residents are able to give birth to a tolerance that results in peace living side by side with one another.

Short Course SI & LC students also learn batik/Batik with a pattern typical of Wonosobo Regency, they learn how to draw beautiful and impressive batik patterns.

Dieng Plateau Area merupakan tempat wisata panorama alam dan Candi untuk peribadatan agama Hindu. Banyak spot menarik yang membuat wisatawan berkesan; secara kebudayaan, Desa Dieng ini kaya akan adat istiadat, sejarah maupun mitos yang di yakini masyarakat sekitar. Phenomena rambut gimbal pun memndunia. Di area ini mahasiswa Internasional mengulik darin sisi kebudayaanya, tentunya sambil bersuka ria menikmati panorama alam yang indah.

Dieng Plateau Area is a panoramic tourist spot and a temple for Hindu worship. Many interesting spots that make tourists memorable; Culturally, Dieng Village is rich in customs, history and myths that are believed by the local community. The dreadlocks phenomenon is worldwide. In this area, international students explore the cultural side, of course, while having fun enjoying the beautiful natural panorama.

Pembelajaran memasak masakan tradisional menjadi hal yang sangat menyenagkan bagi mahasiswa internasional, pasalnya kita belajar memasak tumpeng, yang mana masaka ini merupakan masakan tradisional yang mengandung nilai-nilai luhur budaya. Dalam tiap-tiap sajian, baik tumpengnya maupun lauk yang menyertai tumpeng tersebut terdapat makna yang tersirat.

Learning to cook traditional dishes is very enjoyable for international students, because we learn to cook tumpeng, which is a traditional dish that contains noble cultural values. In each dish, both the tumpeng and the side dishes that accompany the tumpeng, there is an implied meaning.
