UNSIQ Holds Meeting with Indonesian Embassy of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Sunday (29/2023) At 16.30-20.00 WIB, Central Java Al-Qur'an Science University (UNSIQ) in Wonosobo held a collaborative meeting with the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which took place at Restaurant Java Terrace, Solo. The meeting from UNSIQ was attended by Vice Chancellor I for Academic and Research, Human Resources, and Cooperation, Dr. H. Ngarifin Shidiq, M.Pd .; Head of AARSK Bureau, Mr. H. Akhmad Hafidz, S.Ag; Head of Academic and Research and other staff. Meanwhile, from the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dr. H. Badrus Soleh, S.Ag., M.A., P.hD., he is the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh.
During the meeting, discussions regarding plans for cooperation between the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia and the University of Al-Qur'an Science (UNSIQ) Central Java in Wonosobo; the plan for cooperation is regarding undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral educational scholarships for Science, Engineering, Economics, English Education, Arabic Language Education and Religious Education Study Programs for the improvement of Human Resources within UNSIQ and alumni. Collaboration seminars will also be held in relation to Scholarship Information Seminars, Collaboration Seminars on Research, Education and Community Service as well as Seminars on Collaborative Teaching Practices and International KKN.
With the implementation of the cooperation seminar above, it is hoped that both lecturers, education staff, students and alumni can obtain important information and know how to be able to actualize themselves in the international arena, especially Saudia Arabia. Educators and educational staff can improve their quality with educational scholarships, or through international publications (Research and Service) together. Students can also take part in International KKN in Saudi Arabia for one to three months while carrying out the Umrah pilgrimage. Vice Chancellor I, Dr. H. Ngarifin Shidiq, M.Pd. stated that "This collaboration really helps internationalize UNSIQ in Saudi Arabia and is a rare opportunity that not all universities can get." Both parties hope that starting in 2023 we can jointly move to make this cooperation program a success.
The Educational and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is ready to bridge the cooperation with the University of Al-Qur'an Science (UNSIQ) Central Java in Wonosobo regarding these programs. Mr. Dr. H. Badrus Soleh, S.Ag., M.A., P.hD. said that UNSIQ has a very big opportunity to be able to take part in the scope of international activities, especially in Saudi Arabia.
